You shall need a Personal Public Service Number (PPSN) for all contact with the Tax Authorities and all other Public Services when in Ireland. Application for a PPSN can only be made when you are resident in Ireland.
All Employees engaged through MPR Recruitment will have exclusive access to our Support Hub whom will assist in completion registration for PPSN, Registration for Tax, Opening a Bank Account and sourcing Accomodation in Ireland. Our Support Hub has extensive contacts in the Financial, Tax, Banking and Property Rental Sectors and will utilise same to assist all Employees.
Income Tax on all employments is collected by the Revenue Commissioners (Irish Tax Authorities) through your Employer under the system of Pay as You Earn (P.A.Y.E.) whereby the appropriate Tax is deducted from your Salary and paid directly to the Revenue Commissioners. It is important that you obtain and submit to your Employer a Certificate of Tax Credits which will ensure that the correct deductions of tax are made from your Salary.
There are two important items of documentation required to open a Bank Account in all Banks in Ireland in order to comply with Anti Money-laundering Legislation:
- Proof of identity - photo page of passport or Irish driving licence.
- Proof of residency - utility bill, bank account, tax cert or driving licence in certain circumstances.
In addition, you will have to complete a full Application Form and it may take up to 30 days to complete the opening of a Personal Bank Account. Most Employers prefer to pay your net wages directly into your Bank Account. The staff at the MPR Support Hub will assist you with any difficulties you may have in completing the varying documentation.

Climate and weather
Ireland has a mild and temperate climate due to the warming effect of the Atlantic Gulf Stream the annual average temperature would be approximately 10 Degrees Celsius. The Temperature would only drop below freezing on rare occasions each year and severe frost and snow would only occur every 2/3 years. We have about 18 hours of sunlight during the months of July and August. However, our luxurious green grass is caused by our regular light rainfall.
All Residents of Ireland are entitled to Free Public Hospital Services but may have to pay In-Patient and Out-Patient hospital charges. In addition, there is a subsidised Prescribed Drugs Scheme which limits a family’s Contribution for such drugs to €134 per month irrespective of the overall cost of same.
